The trip to Victoria Island and the Arrayan Forest is one of Bariloche’s most traditional excursions. It’s a beautiful boat ride followed by short hikes and wonderful views.
This is one of Nahuel Huapi National Park’s most important excursions. It starts at Pañuelo Port, located 25 km from the center of Bariloche.
After sailing for 40 minutes across the colourful waters of Nahuel Huapi Lake, the boat comes to dock at Anchorena Port. Once you’re on Victoria Island, you’ll have a chance to explore diverse flora and bird species. It’s also possible to visit pictographs, evidence of the presence of aborigines. A half-hour boat ride will take us to the Quetrihue Peninsula where the famous Arrayan Forest is. This location is the ideal place for these unique trees to grow since they require a lot of water.
