Corporate incentive trips motivate and reward employees in different
areas of an organization. The focus is on having fun, with activities
that don’t demand a high level of fitness and give participants
a true feeling of belonging to your organization.
STEPPE CHALLENGE
GENERAL
The Steppe Challenge takes place close to San Carlos de Bariloche,
with the scenic setting of ancient volcanic peaks and the Limay
River Valley as the backdrop. This area receives little precipitation,
allowing us to organize activities throughout the majority of the
year.
The circuit is particularly well-suited to incentive trips and corporate
events since teamwork is the basic of all actions. This day of adventure
strengthens relationships and allows colleagues to have fun together,
sharing memorable and uncommon experiences – not to mention the
legendary cuisine of a Patagonian ranch!
OBJECTIVES
The main objective is that each team to solve problems posed in
a communal fashion. Based on their performance in pre-determined
tasks, teams will move through a series of check points.
DEVELOPMENT
Once participants have gathered, there will be a general meeting
to split the group into teams, or if they are already in teams,
to present the teams to our staff, who will outline the itinerary.
Teams then gather and wait for the signal to announce the beginning
of the first activity. From this moment on, each team will develop
their own strategies and will choose a team leader who will progressively
receive the signals and instructions on each activity. The leader
will have to explain the activity to the rest of the group.
The staff is in charge of coordinating the teams, with one guide
supervising each team’s activities. The teams must first crack the
Acertijo (Araucanian Code) to figure out where they must start.
Once they’ve cracked the code, they’ll head to the first of many
route markers they’ll follow throughout the day as they make their
way past five stations. At each station, the team will have to complete
an outdoor activity.
The stations are:
American Course Station: Here, teams will complete
an obstacle course. Some of the obstacles will include Tibetan Bridge,
Pendulum, Buccaneer and Carrying the Bundles.
Corral Station: Once inside the corral, the teams
face the challenge of rounding-up a group of lambs by capturing
them and driving them with ropes provided by the staff. This is
a timed-challenge and requires the participation of each member
of the team since some will be trying to encircle the herd and others
will be attempting to grab a hold of the lambs.
Orienteering Station: This challenge involves orientation
with a compass and group of riders. Teams leave from a stable with
a red flag and a compass which they must use to locate the control
points.
Off Road Station: The team must move a Jeep in
a closed-circuit designed specifically for this activity. True teamwork
will be required to pass through challenges like Running Bridge,
High Force and el Minado Camp.
Mountain-Bike Station: The team must complete a
1500-meter course on all-terrain bikes. The course itself isn’t
difficult, but each member must complete it. |
