This is one of Bariloche’s most beautiful excursions. It involves boating, hiking and incomparable landscapes.

Heading out from the Pañuelo Port, you’ll sail down Nahuel Huapi Lake`s Blest Arm. As soon as the journey is underway, you’ll be able to take in views of important mountains like Capilla and Millaqueo. Then, the boat passes by the Centinela Island, where the body of the famous Argentine naturalist Perito Moreno rests. About an hour in to the trip, the boat arrives at a beautiful little port that is deep in the heart of the thick temperate Valdivian rainforest. After visiting the shores of the bay and the Frias River, with its beautiful green colour, sail another five minutes to the trailhead for the short hike to the Cantaros Waterfall, which takes you through the forest to a hidden lake and an alerce tree which is 1,500 years old.
