This is a beautiful journey on board a boat through Tristeza Bay and includes a short hike. It’s relaxing and a chance to be immersed in the landscapes of the south.

LENGTH: Full-day
SEASON: November through May
NOT INCLUDED: Lunch, national park entrance fee

This boat trip to Tristeza Bay is new and is very personalized. Onboard the 15-passenger Kaiken catamaran, you’ll journey to a deep, glacier-fed section of Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Leaving from Pañuelo Port (25 km from Bariloche), you’ll head west to the mouth of Tristeza Bay, where the waters become protected by high peaks. Lopez and Capilla mountains are there, and we’ll travel past many waterfalls. The forest transforms into a temperate Valdivian rainforest. There are many bird species to be observed. When we arrive at the far end of the bay, we’ll disembark and head out on a 35-minute hike to the Frey Creek.
